It was originally designed to be an anti-root spiralling pot, and is still an excellent choice if you're wanting to use it for hydroponic growing, to prevent your plants from becoming root-bound or to increase root oxygen access. It also works as an excellent in-bed worm farm where you can deposit your fruit and vegetable scraps, and let nature turn it into powerful and nutritious plant food right where it's needed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBUT... my favourite use for this product is to really easily sieve my compost or soil to remove large chunks, before adding it to seed-raising mixes. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOrdinary soil sieves aren't designed thoughtfully. Either the holes are too small making it a near impossible task, or the sieves are too shallow making them too messy to use. This multi-use soil sieve solves all of those problems. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt won't give you an ultra-fine soil, and that's intentional. If your soil is too fine, it's likely to become compact when wet and won't drain efficiently. Allowing some small chunks into your seed raising mix will allow for better drainage. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese soil sieves are made from thick, strong, long lasting and recyclable PP5 plastic.
