The Seed Raising Kit is your chance to grow from seed at home or the classroom, the same way professional nurseries do, using up-cycled, sustainable and durable products that you can re-use over and over again. 

It includes everything you need to grow like a pro: an upcycled durable seedling plug tray, two base trays, professional seed raising mix (with surprises), seeds and transplant pots. 

Christie has been working closely with QPS, filming in the nursery, trialling different methods, and sharing her authentic experiences with her audience—to ensure the kit is both practical and inspiring.

Premium Soil Mix

At the heart of the kit is 2L of professional seed raising soil mix especially designed for these seedling plug trays, made of sustainable and natural ingredients including coco coir, perlite, vermiculite and worm castings. 

Designed for Sustainability

Every element has been created to be eco-friendly and reusable:

• Upcycled nursery trays cut down from professional stock, giving them a second life.

• Drip trays made from recycled plastic and recyclable at PP5 collection points, one with holes for air pruning roots, and one without for catching drips.

• Durable transplant pots for your young plants once they’re ready for the next stage, also recyclable and made from recycled PP5 plastic. 
  

This kit is built to last season after season, helping you reduce waste while growing more from seed. Once you're done with it, it can all be recycled at PP5 pot collection points. 

Growing Tips

For the healthiest seedlings, once they reach about 5 cm tall, feed them twice weekly with diluted worm tea or liquid fertiliser. This provides the balanced nutrition their roots need to thrive. Alternatively, transplant into a compost rich soil using the square pots provided.
